I’ve had a lively week this week with exciting talks of moving in with a friend in the near future, starting a new artistic venture of my own and beginning to make a schedule for my day to day activities. I’m not saying I’m an on-the-goer every waking minute but I do have to contend with college and work just to fit a meal in! This Owl journal from ‘mypipssqueak’ on Etsy is just lovely!

I also went shopping! Normally I’m super lazy when it comes to shopping. This time, however, I did it all whilst eating pizza and watching the Twin Peaks films, Fire, Walk With Me. I purchased an abundance of make-up, clothes (which I’ll show you soon!) and some adorable cat eye glasses from Ebay. They were a steal at £3.99 and I wanted to see if the shape suited my face before I made them my permanent prescription glasses.

I’ve had a few pieces of sad news this week from friends and the such so I’ve been indulging in a bit of advice/opinion-giving. I love helping people out when they’re down and I can’t think of anything better than a good cuddle and an array of films to pick up one’s spirits. That and these adorable carrot cake cupcakes from Asda. A definite guilty pleasure on a Monday evening after I finish work.

Other than indulging in carrot-flavoured cupcakes and buying cat-shaped glasses my week has been bursting at the seams with creative juices. I’m just beginning a short story as well as a few extra products that I will keep you posted about! I’m also an avid user of the ‘Q&A A Day’ journal. It keeps my mind buzzing and my imagination ticking over.

Today’s question
‘What did you daydream about today?’

My answer was a new camera after tuning into DigitalRev on Youtube for the last part of the evening.

What was yours?
Have a great week!

As a child, it came as no surprise to my Dad when I pelted through the patio doors with a worm dangling from my fingers and a look of eagerness and discovery in my eyes. I was a huge tom boy, adamant I wanted to be an explorer and write about worms and other creepy-crawlies.

I was happy caked in mud and covered in bruises until my early teens when I discovered my first Kohl eye-liner. I smeared it on my eyes looking more like an extra from The Ring than the mature fourteen year old I thought I was. I held onto an obsession with make-up from then onwards, never able to get my hands on the products I wanted to. I stayed in my combat trousers and army shirt for years after though, adamant I was always going to be the boyish stereotype.

My eighteenth came and went and I started experimenting with hairstyles. I’ve never had long hair, something for another post, but it’s a thing I’ve always wanted to experiment with. I used to love the feeling of my hairdresser shaving off the side of my hair and the smell of La Riché hair dye always brings a smile to my face.

My obsession with colouring and cutting my hair has been a huge thing in my life. Since dying my hair with Schwartzkopf XXL pillar-box red when I was thirteen right up until now where I stick to my animal-friendly semi-permanent dyes I’ve become obsessed with colour. It’s mostly my hair but nails, eyes, even lips sometimes. I hold an obsession with 50’s fashion and dream to have pin-curled hair with shocking red lips every day!

I haven’t changed since I was a child. I still love getting my hands dirty and scuffling around for fresh interests but my love for hair and beauty products is still blossoming. Expect a lot more posts about my love of all things fashion and beauty in the future along with travel stories and general lifestyle.

I’ve just ordered a whole host of beauty products and clothes so I’ll make a quick post about that when it all arives!

Have a great week!
